How do I submit a change in my personal situation?

It is important to inform us of changes in your situation. You can only do that with a letter. For example if you:

  • stop working because you retire.

  • want to change your address.

Please attach proof to your letter. Such as a copy of your dismissal letter or a decision from your benefits agency.

You must also report any changes in your personal situation as soon as possible to:

  • Your health insurer.
  • Your employer.
  • Your benefits agency (the organization that pays your benefits)

Also make sure that you are registered with the municipality at the correct address.

If your employer has gone bankrupt, he can no longer withhold the premium from your income. You pay the premium yourself from the moment you no longer work there. You will receive a payment request from the CJIB for this.

Will we only receive notice of the bankruptcy later? Then you do not have to pay all the premiums at once. You then pay these premiums via your final statement. You can pay this in installments.

You also have to pay health insurance premiums if you receive debt counseling or debt restructuring. Please inform your debt counselor or administrator that you are paying your health insurance premium to the CAK.
